The readings for October 22, 2017, the twentieth Sunday after Pentecost. The lectionary drops us into the middle of a story in Exodus. The psalmist looks forward to God’s justice being everywhere. Mike explains Paul’s adaptation of 1st century correspondence, but in a good way. And Jesus confounds everyone by answering an unanswerable question.
